Preparation & Fitting
Fitting new PVC Fascia Board & Soffit is not just about not having to paint your timbers again, it’s also about protecting your roof from damp and eventually rot. Most older houses would have been fitted with hessian felt which through time breaks down along the gutter line and allows rainwater to get in unseen and affect your timber fascia and rafter ends.
Before fitting your new PVC Fascia, as standard, GSM will strip back the first row of roof tiles, fit felt protection along the edge of the roof and refit your rooftiles ensuring the rainwater goes directly into your gutter and not into your home.

Our Commitment To You
At GSM we will carry out a thorough inspection of your property and point out any defects you may have, we won’t cover over any rotting timber, we will suggest a remedy if needed, quote for the work to be done and the rest is up to you.
GSM use only the highest quality materials, we provide a 20 year manufacturers guarantee on our white fascia and soffit and a 10 year guarantee on all foiled woodgrain effect boards, although we have fitted these for over 20 years and no comebacks.
Dry Verge Installation - Co. Down
One of the roofing problems we come across quite frequently is cracked or missing cement on the peaks or verge, which allows rainwater to egress into the building and, unknowingly, rot your roof timbers. Repair involves the laborious task of removing the old cement and repointing which will need to be done again at some stage and can prove a costly exercise.
We supply and fit a dry verge system to suit your needs.
The individual plastic system or our new polyester powder coated aluminium system which is made to measure for each individual roof and includes a run off trough to make sure water does not seep back along your roof battens.
Both systems are available in black, brown or grey and not only will it give added protection to your roof but give you great peace of mind as well.

Helpful Tips
When selecting a company to fit your new Fascia always make sure they use a board that is ribbed along the back as this will provide airflow between the PVC and your existing timber, therefore allowing any trapped moisture to dry out and not rot your timber from behind.
